Hey Bill,

My trainer just called... she decided to take Luar to an open show in Eugene just to give him some exposure/experience in that type of setting.   I guess on Friday he was a basket case, but by Saturday he had settled down. So she decided to take him in a halter class for the experience, not expecting much. But he won his class, so then she took him into the championship classes, where he was up against 14 other horses, including some full-time professional halter horses that were top quality halter horses in front of a quarter horse judge. The trainer didn't think he'd place, but he ended up Grand Champion Halter Horse for the show!! She was pretty jazzed! He's been doing so well she decided to maybe take him in a saddle class this afternoon, so we'll see how it goes!
